Rickie Lee Ryan, MS, CCLS

President & Founder

Our founder is no stranger to working in healthcare! Rickie Lee was first employed in a caregiving role in 2005, and throughout her career she has worked in private preschools, foster systems, and early intervention services. And after completing her Master's degree in 2009, she was employed as a Certified Child Life Specialist in hospitals, pediatric hospice, and as a private parent coach. As such she developed a deep understanding and expertise in child development. Then in 2014 by studying the latest electro-medicine research and Thorp Institute's protocols, Rickie Lee developed our pediatric microcurrent therapy program, Microcurrent 4 Kids, that has made a meaningful impact in the lives of so many children and families. Since that time she has worked with both children and adults alike to help them recover from/ease the symptoms of chronic pain and injuries, as well as cognitive conditions like Autism and Anxiety. In her spare time, Rickie Lee enjoys reading mysteries and listening to true crime podcasts, practicing her baking skills and traveling with family and friends.

Cambria DeMarco Perry BN, MSN, NP

Nurse practitioner

Cambria has been an independently practicing Nurse Practitioner for the last 23 years. She is Board Certified in Acute Care and obtained years of invaluable traditional clinical experience as an RN and Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Departments of Columbia University, Mount Sinai, UCLA and Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego. Cambria's passion is helping patients restore and foster optimal health through a holistic approach utilizing primarily natural modalities. In her spare time, Cambria enjoys riding and caring for her horses and spending time with her family.

2013

Rickie Lee was introduced to microcurrent therapy,

by IntellBio, the company who manufactures and markets the specific microcurrent device we use in our clinic today. IntellBio owners, John and Lisa Thorp, focus on device sales and community education. However, they wished to see a thriving clinic offering all the healing benefits of microcurrent therapy to southern California, especially one that could develop a pediatric program! Thus a partnership was born between the Thorps and Ms Ryan, with the intention of

building a full-service clinic and a pediatric therapy program.

2014

Microcurrent Healing was established,

and in-between seeing adult clients out of the IntellBio corporate office in Encinitas, CA, Rickie Lee ran a small study to determine effectiveness and refine a therapy program for children on the Autism Spectrum.

2015 - 2020

Microcurrent Healing began thriving!

We moved out of the IntellBio office, and set up shop first in San Marcos, and then in late 2015 moved to a more central location due to increasing demands from customers in the southern half of San Diego County. We got happily situated in our Kearny Mesa office at 4540 Kearny Villa Rd #211 San Diego, CA 92123 and had Dr. Rozita Moshtagh join the Microcurrent Healing team, as she began building her private practice and researching her own blend of homeopathic tinctures, supplements, and diet plans to compliment our therapies.

For the next five years Microcurrent Healing continued to offer both physical health therapies and cognitive therapies, such as the Autism/ADHD pediatric protocol.

2020 - 2022

In early 2020, Microcurrent 4 Kids became more than just our pediatric program! Thanks to generous benefactors

MC4K became a nonprofit corporation

and began providing services on a donation basis. Our mission has always been to make a meaningful impact in the lives of kids and families affected by Autism, and so we made the decision to change our structure so that money is not a barrier for families in need to participate in our program.
Additionally, we said goodbye and well wishes to Dr. Rozita as Cambria joined our team and the nonprofit board. Currently we enjoy supporting our clients achieve their personal wellness goals, recover from health crises and injuries, and to live their lives to the fullest potential.

2022 - Present

After weathering the pandemic, it became apparent that Microcurrent Healing would need to offer more than just physical health services to continue support MC4K's nonprofit status and so the

Microcurrent 'Facelift'

was born! Through collaboration with Intellbio and L.A.'s celebrity Esthetician Valentina Belova, Rickie Lee was able to create our beauty services menu and hired experienced estheticians to provide them. This new menu of services rapidly grew in popularity, and has establish Microcurrent Healing as a leader in San Diego's Med-Spa community. As demand for beauty services is so high we needed more physical space and at the end of 2022 we moved into a larger office suite on the ground floor of our Kearny Mesa business complex.
